Your Own Vintage Gas Station for $115k

I wish this was near me.   Would anyone else want a vintage gas station for 115k?   Industrial condos around here that are around 1200 square feet run 250-300k.  This is not as big but is soo much cooler.   Thoughts?

Doble Auxiliary Unit Covers

Patterns and casting are being made and arriving on a daily basis now and we are steadily working through producing all the parts required to rebuild the existing units and also to recreate a new unit for Doble F30, as you can see our parts are interchangeable with original parts

Doble Water Pumps

Once I stripped down the first Auxiliary unit it became apparent that almost every moving part inside was worn out , from small gear sets right through to the crank shafts and con rods.

this post show the process involved in re making the water pump plungers, they are two part with the main cross head from cast iron, at this stage machined on a lathe, next opp will be in the mill to do the internal details and gudion pin. the two parts are then screwed together and the thread swaged over so it can not unscrew, before both outer diameters are ground to size to ensure concentricity. the first picture shows the state of the original plungers

1933 Raleigh disassembly and inspection.

So, I got started on the Raleigh today. It's going to be checked over, assembled to a safe, running, usable condition and then see if it needs to be kept or sent to a new home.
The rear axle actually has a little differential in it. The brakes will need to be cleaned up, possibly re-lined and I'm probably going to have to build a new sprocket since both of the used ones I have are worn out.
The sprocket that was in the axle seems to be vulcanized together but the spare unit has a proper cush drive built into it. The rubbers are still soft! I'll be building a new sprocket and using the cush drive in the axle when it goes back together.
I can't just buy a 51-tooth, 1/2" pitch, duplex sprocket. Go figure.

ACD Reunion & Festival (Sept 3-6, 2026)

Started in 1955  as a reunion for former ACD employees and cars.  Turned in to quite the extravaganza.

I have gone 4 times.  Once when I was about 10,  again 1990,  2000 and then again in 2010 when we brought my dad's Auburn Speedster.

The Kruse auction used to be as big as Barrett Jackson.  It was crazy.  That is gone and replaced with a new Kruse auction (Formerly World Wide).  There is the show on Saturday

Model T Rocky Mountain Brakes.

Sometimes the new parts don't fit on the 110 year-old car. Nothing to do but put some Motorhead on the stereo, turn on the machinery and get to work.
Had to slot the mounting bracket a little bit.
Rocky Mountain brakes are installed.
The small set of shoes are the parking brake which is operated by the hand lever.
The larger, contracting band works on the larger brake drum and is operated by the foot brake pedal.
