Some interesting things to ID

One sunny afternoon in 2013 I was out riding my bicycle and spotted an open door on a big old building that I always assumed was unoccupied. I stopped and peered in and what to my wondering eyes should appear but……. A room full of OLD car bodies and table upon table of spare parts. Very interesting. The caretaker was there and let me take pictures. I thought some of you would offer ideas of what these cars are/were. Also I’m curious about that motor. I am unable to identify and thought I lost the pictures long ago but recently found them. What do you think these are?

Dale Adams shop was in a red brick building.

Check my profile for my location. Since I was on my bicycle it was not more than 15 miles from my home. The building appears to be vacant now. I took the pictures in 2013!

Restoration shop? Those are some fairly cool bodies. Wonder what happened to them. Thanks for posting.

If that was a restoration shop I would never take my car there😁. I believe it was private storage.

The engine doesn’t look to have had a transmission bolted directly to it. Maybe a friction drive? Or maybe a divorced gearbox to a chain drive?

I keep trying to make the 4 cylinder engine a Locomobile engine but the jugs and configuration don't quite match up to things I'm seeing as a reference... I really like the roadster body.

I see Locomobile hubcaps on the axles. I also see disc brakes and a ring gear on the flywheel. I don't recognize the sedan/limousine body or the roadster.

Cone clutch, chain drive axle, Intake over exhaust (F-head) engine.

Certainly more than one car here. At least one of them had a starter and brakes added.

Pretty cool collection! 2013 was a long time ago now.
