Some cars are fast. Some cars stay with you forever.
Petrolicious just dropped a new feature on Ethan Moore’s 1995 BMW E36 M3, a car built for mountain roads, late apexes, and pure driver connection. From wrenching on multi-million dollar Ferraris to carving corners in a track-built E36, Ethan’s story is a reminder that the “keeper” cars are rarely about straight-line speed.
Watch the latest film from Petrolicious and see why the E36 M3 still earns its legend status. 🎥

I think I need one of these. If any still exist, that is. Seems like a cross between a Red Bug, a cycle car, and a DIY go-kart. It was a short-lived company from 1912-1914. The Lad’s Car had a 72 inch wheelbase, so more of a cycle car scale.

1925 peerless 6-70 For Sale
Posted to the 1920s Antique Auto's Facebook group. I would create a marketplace item but there is no way to link it.
1925 peerless 6-70. Extremely rare car. Needs restoration . We acquired from an auction in Montana a few years ago. To our knowledge the car was in Saskatoon Canada prior to the auction in Montana. Will entertain offers.
Located in south Easter PA . Asking 20k

Kevlar band lining for the 1911 Model T is here.
I've cut an inch off of each lining and then split the lining in two. A sharp chisel works best for this since Kevlar is very hard to cut.
Once cut, the ends are dipped in rustoleum paint to stop them from unraveling.
Starting at one end, leave 1/4" of lining overhanging the end so the band lugs don't dig into the drum. Clamp the lining to the band and use an awl to poke between the fibers and make a hole for the rivet. Don't use a drill or anything that will cut the fibers. I use an o-ring pick, followed by a piece of steel rod which has been sharpened and put in my drill as a "power awl".
A band rivet tool is used to fold over the two tangs of the split rivet.
Then a ball-peen hammer and anvil are used to drive the bent over tangs of the rivet into the lining so they are below the surface and won't score the drum.
Do the same for both pieces of lining, being sure to hold the lining tight to the band so you don't have any gaps.
This method is covered in an old Ford service tip. Leaving a gap at the bottom of each lining allows for more oil flow and less heat. It also allows the band to grab better.
