Thought some of you might appreciate this video. Pretty wild.

Went to a car meet last weekend, didnt even get to look around at the cars before the cops showed up. Then 5 minutes after they shut it down, everyone in their modern traffic left and a McLaren shows up. You never know who’s gonna show up at a car meet.

Built in a small workshop in Mansfield, England, just after World War I, the 1919 Busy Bee is a great reminder that you didn’t need a big factory or a famous badge to build something special.

J. A. Mills put this unusual three-wheeled cyclecar together for around £120. With its lightweight tubular frame, plywood body, and compact design, it was built for practical, affordable motoring rather than luxury or show.

But here’s the really impressive part: Mills reportedly drove the Busy Bee for more than 100,000 miles over the course of his life. Originally powered by a Stag engine, it later received an AJS V-twin motorcycle engine in 1928, giving the little machine a whole new personality.

More than a century later, the Busy Bee is still on the road, a survivor from an era when resourceful enthusiasts built their own solutions and kept them running.

It’s quirky, it’s mechanical, and it’s got more character than plenty of cars costing a whole lot more.

I don't collect toy cars but I may start.
Found these while grocery shopping. Who knew they were making stuff this cool?

I don't want to call it a guilty pleasure like wanting a Gremlin, but I've always liked the screaming chicken version of the Trans Am.  that would be 1981 and earlier.     Production started in 1969 when all the manufacturers came up with a car for the Trans Am series.  Chevy had the Z28,  Plymouth had the AAR Cuda,  AMC had the Javelin   Ford had the Boss 302.    Pontiacs entrry was the Trans Am which stayed in production until 2002 when the GM retired the F-Body platform.

The one I like is the 1979 version with the W72 engine option and of course the Y82 Black/Gold paint.    The W72 was the last real musclecar engine and was rated at a legit 220 HP.   The "special edition" Y82 is the famous Bandit black/gold scheme that Burt Reynolds made famous.  I'm not stuck on the Y82 but the W72 which only came with the four speed is non-negotiable.

Anybody else like the Trans AM?

A 20-liter V4 engine and front-wheel drive. In 1907. Sometimes automotive history gets pretty wild.

Built by American inventor and racer J. Walter Christie, this remarkable machine was a radical departure from the conventional race cars of its day. Its enormous engine and front-wheel-drive layout made it unlike just about anything else on the track.
