Anyone collect cars other than 1:1 scale?
I don't collect toy cars but I may start.
Found these while grocery shopping. Who knew they were making stuff this cool?

My dad collected toy cars of any scale or make or era. For Christmas and his birthday I would buy him good stuff. Since he passed away my mom has been handing them back 1 at a time on my birthday or Christmas.
Here are 3 of them. The last one is a 1950s Japanese tin car. The Cord is late 30s and you see them every once in a while. It is heavy and very well built. The middle station wagon came from an antique shop where my dad saw it but refused to pay the 100 dollars for it. So I went back and bought it for a birthday present.

Had hundreds of Hot Wheels when I was a kid from the 60s and 70s. Sold them all for 15 bucks to a guy advertising in the local want advertiser. I thought my mom was going to kill me. When I got older I understood why.

I wish I had 10% of what I had as a kid.

Same thing happened to me with my baseball cards. All from the 50s/60s/70s. I had 1k of them. Including Mickey Mantle and Willy Mays. Sold them to a guy for 20 dollars or similar and my mom found out after and told me she would have bought them. And given them back when I was an adult.

You and a lot of other people. That's why it's valuable now.

I was going to make a joke about only collecting models of cars I own. I only have one of these and they seem to sell for a lot of money, over 200.00. Part me thinks I should be hording them.

Schuco was made in Germany right after the war. They made some interesting toys and I've been trying to accumulate a small collection. Easier than cars.

Sadly my hot wheels are long gone. No idea where they went but probably out with the trash when I moved out.

Had a loop set when I was a kid. Needed a physics course later on to understand why my hot wheels didn't land on its roof every time.

Had one of those too. Learned how high to build the ramp to make it work. You need a good hot wheel to do it. Not a beat up one with wheels that didn't spin.
