More on my 1929 Bentley Speed Six repairs: Greg Porter dropped off the perrot shafts and right side brake drums at machinist. Front brake drums are getting the new bearing races installed. The rear drum has a ridge between brake and handbrake shoe. It is being cut .005 which will bring it diameter to 399.80 mm max is 403mm
As we get my car ready for Pebble next month one of the things we wanted to do was get the distributor on to the machine and synchronize the dual points. In this topic I'm going to go through the process with pictures and video.
The machine in the shop is a rare distributor tester. Made by Electro Products. The back shelf is designed to carry 4 of their other automotive testers. They made 10 different pieces of test equipment.
You more typically see Sun testers or once in a while an Allen.
Okay, I need to get Jim Farley on the phone. Somebody at Ford has some ‘splaining to do. Why is it that if I want to make THEIR product last longer, I have to pay $220 list price for a pair of “accessory” splash shields? That’s even worse than the brands that charge extra for floor mats.
When you start a project and just assume an electric motor is not going to be a problem......... then it becomes apparent they do not exist.
after calling 3 companies that advertise bespoke motor manufacture, to discover that they only modify cases around what is available, the solution is to make our own.!!!!

It's all there (I think), guy even bagged and labeled hardware for me.
Some people might not think it's a classic but it's 48 years old and the interior looks incredible.
Lady's husband passed away before he could put it back together. She wants it finished so one of her boys can drive it when he's old enough. She also owns the Mercury Comet that's in the shop right now.

The difference wheel color makes to the look of a car. All you guys that know me know I'm a blackwall guy. My dad put whitewalls on the family daily driver Eldorado's and I felt I was in a Starsky and Hutch episode.

My rule is the less number of colors the better the car looks. Not everybody agrees which is ok. The photo with the whitewalls and red wheels is the actual car which is for sale.
