I'm part way through a restoration of a Cantrell bodied 56 Chevy Carryall. Cantrell closed their doors at the end of 56 and according to factory literature this truck was available only as a special order. You'll probably never see another one.

When I was 13 years old I walked 2 miles to a friends house after dinner. It was summer and light until at least 9:00. I bought a complete Rupp Roadster for 25 dollars and pushed it home. Made it just before dark.

It did not run and in retrospect it was not very old at the time. Maybe 5 or 6 years from new. So I saw this one on Facebook marketplace and it brought back memories. Then I saw the price and couldn't believe it. $1,100.00!!!!!

Didn't take a lot to get mine running and hauled around on the public roads of 1970s suburbia for a few months before I flipped it for 100 bucks. Quite the profit at the time.

If you are old enough (say over 60) you might remember a period in the late 60s and early 70s where painters got very creative with muscle and drag cars. I think it was the golden era for hot rod shows and fantasy cars. I saw this picture and it brought it all back to me. This car is fairly tame with just 2 colors and fancy lettering. But the cragar mags make it perfect to me. I'll try to find more advanced paint schemes from the era.

By popular demand, I have joined RumbleSeat. Thanks for the nudge @alsancle ! Above all, I have a love for unrestored survivor cars. Here is (one of) my 1931 Franklin Deluxe, all original with only 17,000 miles. I am the third owner. I chased this car for 5 years until I was finally able to buy it from the daughter of the second owner. It was recently returned to running condition. Still some work to do but it is just the way I like them!

Just returned our 1934 MG PA to the road after a couple of decades sitting idle with a blown head gasket. The car was restored and enjoyed by my father-in-law before he passed in 2006. Now its our turn to play caretaker to this wonderful piece of MG MMM history.#MG

The new Toyota Sequoia body style has really grown on me. This building is subtle, but looking great. Also nice to see some mud. Not just a pavement queen.
