1958: Scuderia Ferrari hauls their F1 world champion Ferrari 246 on the trusty Fiat 642 “Bartoletti Transporti.” Just another day on the road for racing history. #ferrari #automotivehistory

There are a number of cool transport trucks. This is one of the Shelby carriers.

@alsancle This is the Corba transporter I remember.

One of the most famous was the Mercedes transport.

@Royale835Sedan Love this one!

@Royale835Sedan Period photo of it.

Not a great photo but Gus Schumacher with his RR transporting a sprint car circa 1930.

Then there's this...
@Peerless28 Wow. Is that real???

@tom1980 Yeah, unfortunately. 7 years ago. Some character named Overington owns a real '31 Bentley. Puzzled with how to attend Silverstone media day in his old car and bring the nwest Continental GT3, too, he saved on petrol and brought both in one fell swoop. Also slums around w/ a Porsche 962 in tow.

I saw this posted someplace on social media and captured it. I don’t have the original. An early locomobile 48?

@JohnBloom Interesting. Think it is real?
