Lifted Prius. Honestly, I would drive this. Imagine the head turns.

This is a photo of a very rare LHD Silver Wraith Park Ward drophead.  They made 4 of these.   California registration says 1956 which makes the car new and the family very lucky.   Also pictured is my family from 1968 with our black Silver Wraith drophead that my dad bought  as a 4 year old used car off the roof of Inskip in 1964.  The original price was 29k USD.   New Cadillacs were around 6k.  In our picture my youngest brother had not been born yet.

A candidate for a replacement fuel tank for the 1953 Hudson Super wasp arrived yesterday. It is a reproduction of a tri five Chevy tank. It is similar size fuel filler and outlet are in the same basic location so we will see if it can be adapted. Fuel tanks for the Hudson have been reproduced and might be still available but last I looked they were over $1,100 so that seemed a little silly to me. Hope I can make this work without too much effort. Ill keep you all posted.

A large shipment of parts arrived yesterday for the 1967 SAAB 96. front and rear bumpers, replacement dash pad, door panel tops, exterior mirror, some of the lens's, Carburetor core, Distributor ,factory radio, Hood release cable,  Defrost ducting, and a few other items.

The 1909 American Speedcar!!!

How is this for dedication?  I pull in  the lot for hockey at 7:30 AM and my 70 year old buddy was driving his 71 Dart 340/4 speed.  We just got a pile of snow.

1969 Le Mans: the closest unstaged finish ever. After 24 hours, Jacky Ickx’s Ford GT40 beat Hans Herrmann’s Porsche 908 by just 120 metres. While everyone fixated on Ford vs Ferrari, Porsche kept leveling up: 904 to 906 to 910 to 907 to 908. The 917 debuted, led 21 hours, then DNF’d, but the gauntlet was down. By 1970, Porsche owned Le Mans. #lemans #racinghistory

This one’s special. Joe Buzzetta’s 1964 Porsche 904 Carrera GTS is chassis 005, the fifth 904 ever built, and it’s been a factory racer since day one. Sebring class winner, Nürburgring, endurance miles across Europe, and even time as a Porsche test bed. Now it’s back to the four-cylinder it was born with. Huge credit to Petrolicious for another killer film: #porsche
