Most car guys have heard of the front wheel drive Cord.  Either the L29 or the 810/812.  Many have heard of the Ruxton, but how many of you know that Hupmobile built a FWD car in 1932?   The body was built by Budd and the shifting was via pneumatic cylinders.   Only a single car was ever built.

What’s better than your two Scottish terries sitting in an all original  Model J Duesenberg disappearing top roadster? J-357 with 37k on the clock, one of the best cars I have ever had the pleasure to have my hands on.

Nothing like a ten year old V-16 Cadillac to make a great tow truck. Cadillac's of this era had a PTO built into the transmission. So you could easily power the crane and not have to use a hand crank. Add a fe extra springs in the rear and you're ready to work. They was from the hill towns of Western Mass, and the current CEO of the AACA car club worked at the dealership these guys opened after the war. The dealership is still running strong today. This is a 1982 Datsun 280ZX Turbo with T tops and a manual transmission and 149,000 miles
I bought it last year out of a family barn in New Hampshire, where it had been quietly aging since being purchased in 1991 as a “spare car” for the owner’s other 280ZX. As far as I can tell, the spare plan worked a little too well, because this one was  never used or driven.
I got it running and driving in time for the 2025 Audrain Concours d’Elegance 2025, where it was shown in the 30 Under 30 class, with dust and dirt proudly intact, alongside my son. It also completed the 60 mile tour the day before, which surprised everyone involved, including me.
It got a lot of attention. It has a lot of issues. But it runs nicely, the turbo makes boost, and it is genuinely fun to drive, so priorities are clearly in order.
Paperwork status is complicated.
No current title.
No old registration.
However, there is a paper copy of an old Florida title, which suggests the car did in fact exist at some point in history.
But it is real, it runs, and it survived a concours and a tour. That feels like a win.
