Bizzarrini just brought a 60-year-old Giugiaro design to life with the new 5300 Aperta Lusso. Classic Italian styling, a naturally aspirated 5.3L V8, available manual transmission, and just 10 being built!

I’d happily spend an afternoon just listening to that V8 along the Italian coast.

So what do we think this is?  Roamer?  No idea when it was taken or where?

More issues with replacing my king pins.. Mechanic is having issues removing one of them.. Ouch...Ain't nothing easy when working on old cars!!! 🥲

Today's F1 meme.

It's funny because it's true.

Running a car club takes money — and let's be honest, dues rarely cover all of it. The show trophies, the paddock rental for a big weekend, the archive, the website. It adds up.

Here's the thing about club enthusiasm: it isn't seasonal. It spikes after a great drive, when a restoration needs a hand, when a longtime member just wants to give back. But most clubs only ever ask for support once a year, at renewal. That's a missed opportunity.

So we built Donations right into every RumbleSeat car club website. A permanent Donate button anyone can use — members and fans alike. Suggested amounts you curate. A donation page where you tell your club's story. And an optional, always-skippable prompt at enrollment for the folks already checking out.

Every gift runs through Stripe and lands straight in your club's account, with an automatic receipt. No spreadsheets, no manual bookkeeping.

If you're already on RumbleSeat, it's live in your admin settings right now.

Inspecting the transmission and rear axle on the 1914 Pathfinder.
Nothing broken, no teeth lying in the bottom so that's good!
Found some questionable hardware cranked into the front side of the housing.
The steel seems very soft and someone has stripped most of the threads that hold the axle to the torque tube so I'm going to be fixing those and replacing hardware.

Would this be the Locomobile Superfly edition? It’s the first car I think I’ve seen with chrome discs. Great body style.

Mother Nature must have decided that I had too much time on my hands. The town where my shop is located got hit by a microburst while the storms were rolling through at the end of the heatwave on Saturday. Only a 1/2 mile swath but there are trees everywhere, including on top of many cars. The first of them started rolling in today. I’m going to be busy for months. Plenty of cars got hit with hail too. No rest for the wicked.

Model T engines leak oil. I've added seals to everything I can and here's my final trick to making these things oil tight. The corner where the hogshead meets the engine block and oil pan is particularly bad.
A shop vac hose is connected to the oil filler, a vacuum gauge is installed in the oil check  port. All other openings are sealed up with aluminum tape and the vacuum is turned on.  A hose in the ear is used to listen to all possible points of leakage. If there's a hiss, some MotoSeal, a very thin rtv used for motorcycle and snowmobile engine cases is applied to the leak until it stops. Once there's no more hiss and you see a rise in the vacuum gauge, you know everything is sealed up. I gained about 1 inch of mercury during the sealing process.
