Thinking about hitting this same trail/route. This would certainly be a challenge. But what amazing scenery! If this video doesn't motivate you to hit the roads and adventure, I'm not sure what would. Also, this underscores the value of camaraderie and developing a crew that you can adventure with.
Question about reproduction Duesenberg bodies.
I've worked on two cars with reproduction bodies. One was a replica LaGrande dual-cowl phaeton which had never been finished and I was told through a lot of second-hand information that it was built better than the original bodies. This body seemed very well made.
Does anyone know who made the reproduction LaGrande dual-cowl phaeton bodies?
I came across this Lancefield bodied streamliner on an Armstrong Siddely chassis. Striking design. That sent me down the Siddeley rabbit hole.
Patina Patina Patina.. I love it!!!

I just saw @alsancle listed this in the marketplace. Loved the 40-42 Willys since I saw the movie "Hot Rod" back in HS. Do not like the glass street versions but love the old school gasser variety. This looks cool and at 45k semi reasonable for a steel car until you see it sits on a truck chassis.
What do you guys think? The movie was shlock but the Willys was great!

One of my all time favorite prewar collector cars is coming up for auction again. I saw this in person back in Arizona 7 years ago the last time it sold. I have visions of this being an ultimate tour car. A 1936 Cadillac Series 90 V-16 Five-Passenger Town Sedan. The only one that still exists. The 1990s restoration was 350k.
Last time it sold for under 200k and it might sell for less this time. I LOVE THIS CAR!

What could possibly go wrong with this idea? I’m not sure that having the wings and tail section of an aircraft removable in five minutes is a particularly good thing. I would think that you’d want to have to work a whole lot harder to get those two pieces to come apart. Also, the removal of the propellor while in car mode takes some of the fun out of it. How else would you mince cyclists that refuse to move over?
1994 Mercedes-Benz G320 Cabriolet is live on Bring a Trailer and selling at NO RESERVE.
What's it worth?
$50,000?
$80,000?
$125,000?
These G-Wagen Cabriolets are rare, collectible, and all over the map when they cross the auction block. Some comparable examples have brought well into six figures, while others have traded considerably lower.
My guess? 🤔

Claude is rediculous! I prompted it to create a hand drawn sketch of my car from a photo.
