BYD Shark Sighting

Not something that you see too often in the U.S. Looks like someone from Sonora, Mexico, was visiting the Phoenix area. There has been a long-standing 100% tariff on Chinese-made BYD vehicles in the US. I should have grabbed more photos, but I was actually pretty impressed with the overall design. Plug-in hybrid with a 500-mile range.

Plug in Hybrid?  So it has a gas engine too?   Someone smart once told me this is the most complex design in the world.

Isn't BYD involved with Polestar in some fashion?

Forgive me if I'm not a fan of Chinese stuff.
