Both doors on my Stearns kicked out on the bottom corners significantly.  I had to find a before picture because like a dope I didn't take one.  This is the 4th car I've owned that we have had to add turnbuckles to.  This one was a little trickier because of the window mechanism.  Many times you can go corner to corner.   It still has to be recessed so the door panel can go back on.

Here is a video on the book on my car I'm bringing to Pebble next week.  The result of 20-30 hours of assembly, 14 years of research and maybe 2 hours of messing with the publishing site.  Each copy is around 50 dollars to print hardcover with high quality gloss paper, but then I spent another 50 or so to rush manufacturer and deliver it.   I'll do an update after Pebble with a chapter on the show.

Guys,  I have fallen in love with this Model S.  Here are the details:  2022 Tesla Model S Plaid, finished in Midnight Silver Metallic with a Cream interior.

The odometer on this Model S currently indicates approximately 13,800 miles.

The attached Carfax vehicle history report lists no accidents or mileage discrepancies in this Tesla's past. It also confirms that it has been registered to one owner in California from new.

According to the window sticker provided in the gallery, this Model S is a Plaid model, and notable factory equipment includes adaptive air suspension, full LED lighting, a Premium Interior with carbon fiber decor, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, and Full Self-Driving Capability.

Notable modifications reported by the seller include 21-inch Signature SV303S wheels, a Brembo front big brake kit, stainless steel brake lines, and a round steering wheel.

Tesla introduced the Model S, the first car it developed in-house, in 2012. It was one of the first cars that proved EVs could be more than overgrown golf carts. It has undergone numerous powertrain and software evolutions during its life cycle, including a 2016 update that added an improved charger and a new-look exterior design inspired by the Model X, as well as a 2021 refresh that introduced the Plaid model and yoke steering wheel.

Power comes from three electric motors, which draw electricity from a 100-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack to zap the four wheels with 1,020 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque, according to third-party estimates. The EPA gave the Plaid a maximum driving range of 348 miles when fitted with 21-inch wheels.

So I drove did an 80 mile ride today.  40 miles in a Cord 812SC and the 40 miles home in my Stearns J8-90.  The Stearns is a 1929 and the Cord a 1937.  But the difference in driving is about 25 years.   The Cord is small and nimble, fast and easy to handle and shift.  The Stearns is like driving a land yacht.   It was hot this afternoon (87) on the way back and the last 5-7 miles the Stearns started to get hot.  Gauge typically stays dead in the middle of the normal range, but it tended towards the higher side of normal.  It would move up at traffice lights but then move back down again.  But at the end it was pegged in the "hot" zone.  When I turned it off it spit water everywhere out the overflow.
