The first photo is the New York City Auto Salon in 1917. The car in the right rear of the 1917 photo is the same car in the other photos. Placed in a collection in New Jersey in 1938, the car remained untouched for over 80 years. Today it runs and drives well, and is very reliable. It's a 1917 White GM 82 horse power 7 passenger touring car with a custom body by Ruby of Cleveland. The car was more expensive than a top of the line Packard or Pierce. Four valves per cylinder T head mono block engine of 40 cid, with a factory 4 speed OD transmission. It's capable of causing down the road comfortably at 60 mph. The last photo is a factory photo taken in 1917 of the same car. enjoy......

This 1930 Cadillac V-16 was converted into a tow truck back in the late 30's in the hills of Massachusetts. The independent garage turned into a GM dealership, and is still in business today in Great Barrington Ma. AACA car club president and CEO worked for them in 1960 while still in high school.

Oddly satisfying. Installing a Brembo brake pad in a Ferrari.

Wise words. You know that one guy? The automotive know-it-all. The automotive elitist. Yeah. Don't be that guy.

Casting moulds

A while back these were posted on the AACA and then it went silent. Does anyone know where these ended up? I've mentioned before that whoever has then could do the hobby a huge favour by letting someone scan them so that mascots and hubcaps could be 3d printed, making replacements for folks dirt cheap.

The 1925 Julian used a radial, flat, six-cylinder engine that lay horizontally behind the passenger compartment, directly over the rear wheels. The crankcase of this engine was cast aluminum, cast in two banks of three positioned one above the other. The engine displaced 268CUI or 4.4L and produced a healthy 60hp. It had a high (for the day) compression ratio of 4.8:1 .

The pictures and video are from Pebble Beach a few years ago but you can see the car at the National Auto Museum in Reno Nevada.
