Sometimes the new parts don't fit on the 110 year-old car. Nothing to do but put some Motorhead on the stereo, turn on the machinery and get to work.
Had to slot the mounting bracket a little bit.
Rocky Mountain brakes are installed.
The small set of shoes are the parking brake which is operated by the hand lever.
The larger, contracting band works on the larger brake drum and is operated by the foot brake pedal.

It’s time for another annual pilgrimage to Lime Rock Park this weekend. It’s been a Labor Day weekend tradition for my dad and I for close to 30 years now. We’ll be there for two days of racing and we’ll have both of our antiques in the Gathering of the Marques on Sunday. Looking forward to Alfa Romeo being the featured marque in the concours and to seeing the historic Trans Am group run. Anyone else going?

We’re always thrilled when a new Petrolicious video lands in our inbox, and this one is awesome.

Petrolicious follows Bailey Clayton as he brings a 1956 Ferrari 500 TR back to its original Reims-winning look—one brushstroke at a time.

Just incredible craftsmanship and a deep respect for the car’s history. Give it a watch. This one is worth your time.

Here is a video I put together from Mopars at the Donut Cutter on Woodward Dream Cruise Wednesday. Check it out!!! Some very rare Mopars!! Metro Detroit is loaded with them.

This is on offer by the Blackhawk collection, mid-restoration (no affiliation or vested interest). It is said to contain engine J241. I presume the body is new. Not sure about the frame and how much is present or missing. Out of curiosity is anyone here an expert who can comment publicly? I'm chiefly just curious. I figured these things get traded privately behind the scenes... There are more photos online if you find the ad.

Valves being adjusted and my mechanic sent me some pics!!!   I thought I'd share as I haven't see this view of the engine before!!!

Lewis Hamilton finally got his dream car,  a Ferrari F40 that had been sitting, covered in dust, in a garage for more than 30 years. Instead of just cleaning it up, he sent it back to Maranello for a full revival by Ferrari’s own engineers. Pretty incredible story behind an incredible car, which just so happens to be my favorite car of all time.

In metro Detroit we have a lot of murals and cool cars. Here is my 1970 Dodge Coronet.

Wanna know why I love this car? Because even though it’s dead on the side of the road, still looks amazing.
