1937 Detroit Electric model 99. This car comes with incredible documentation and is the newest known Detroit Electric to still exist.

I never knew these were made so late. Thanks!
That is cool. A tiller that late in the 30s?

$39,200 all in. I was very surprised. I thought it would bring more money.

Other end of the spectrum. 1909 Detroit Electric Model D. Huge!
Check out the chain drive.

On the other end of the spectrum, $100,800.

1918 Rauch and Lang.

And $140,000. There were not giving everything away at Hershey this year.

So cool! What top speed and range can you typically expect from one of these old electric cars?

I’ve heard claims of 80-100 mile range on some of them. I’m sure that depends on terrain though. If I’m not mistaken, I think the top speed was 30mph but I could be wrong. I don’t know as you’d want to go any faster than that steering with a tiller anyhow.

Travis, I think you are close. Top seed 25-30 and a 60-80 mile range is probably about right.
