The "Follow me" idea is very interesting. Group of motorcycles? Old cars? There are probably other uses that nobody has ever thought of.
There have been a few times I wish I had a chase car with tools following me.
Look at Tom helping out Elon Musk with new use cases. Given how many times I've called a rollback in the last couple of years I'm thinking this is a great idea.
Tesla releasing them to owners as ubers would be another great use case. The owner maintains the car, makes sure its charged but releases into the wild for taxi rides.
How much are these things?
Although Elon Musk has long described a mixed busines model: Tesla would own some vehicles, and private owners could buy others, add them to the Robotaxi network when not in use, and take them back when wanted there is no indication this is gonna happen any time soon.
