Here are some simple tips to keep in mind if you are interested in purchasing a used Tesla Model 3.

How do you know if the battery had degraded prematurely? And what metrics should be considered?

My battery degraded from 320 at full charge to 295 today over seven years. 8% degradation isn't too bad, especially considering I rarely charge to full (80% limit per charge) or need a full charge.

What is your range on 80% battery under normal driving conditions. I.e. using the AC, traveling speed limit, etc.

I like it. My wife wants a Model Y but I'm a little scared about the charging situation. How easy is it to find a place to charge and how long does it take?

Excellent Video!

I have a model X.. Best car I've ever had... Amazing Tech!!!

Love my M3. Just passed 100k miles. Only one issue and it was a big one. Coming off the freeway to motor died in the middle of a busy off ramp intersection. Required a tow and engine replacement. Thankfully, it was under warranty otherwise it would have been $7,000. It was a one day job. Apparently, Tesla takes these broken engines and rehabs them to go back in service. Pretty cool. Now, I was an early adopter and go my M3 in 2018 so I'm sure there were improvements to the engine design / build quality in subsequent years. But, overall awesome car and a blast to drive. 10/10 would recommend.

I spent the weekend driving my son's Model 3. I'm definitely in love. His car is 2021 with 90k miles. Battery degrades discharges slightly faster than expected however AC was blasting and probably pushing harder than the EPA does when testing. Although he charges only to 80%, impossible to know what the previous owner did.

Great video. I'm looking at a couple of different used Model S cars. I will pm you for advice.
Will they continue to hold value as they release more affordable new models?
