I’ve had a couple Alfa Romeos, spiders from the early 70s, and so I am a fan of the Marque. For that reason, I pay attention to them.
I would not even want to guess on the price of this car, but I’d be pretty confident in saying it is Uber expensive. When I see stuff of this era changing hands, it’s at a whole different league of the hobby. One that I don’t play in.
I have some photos of pre-war Alfas I’ve taken that were held within private collections, but I’m not comfortable sharing them publicly out of respect for the owner. They are super interesting, and their heritage association with Ferrari will always make their early stuff a drink off the top shelf.
Enzo came from within Alfa Romeo, as a race car driver and had fractional ownership when they had financial trouble. After the breakup and WWll, Ferrari emerged.
