A face only a mother could love…..
1926…. I bet this truck seemed like a miracle with its ability to help get work done. In rural America, only 20 years before this truck was made moving a couple cubic yards of supplies wasn’t so easy. imagine what changes happened over those two decades. Hooking up horses with a wagon to go to town to pick things up…….

What was the purpose of moving the engine back like that? Weight distribution?

Early cab over design, the engine is back but the cab is forward so you get more storage in back with a shorter wheelbase.

All the cons of a cabover but none of the pros. Either push the cab up over the wheels or move the wheels back under the cab. Easy to see why this design never caught on.
