J-464 is heading to Amelia

I am pretty excited about this because it will be my Duesenberg's coming out party with me as the owner. I am a two ACD car owner so it was hard to decide which one to bring but the Duesy is new so I picked the new toy. I learned today that J-464 has been accepted to Amelia for 2027 so we are going to be Eastbound and down, loaded up and trucking to Amelia in March. My car has been off the show circuit for about a decade so I am bringing her back out of hiding. It makes me laugh that last year I showed my Opel GT and I am following it up this year with the Duesy. Who knows, next year I might bring the Pacer just to keep it interesting. :)

Amelia is a very fun show. Amelia Island is beautiful and the gold course at the Ritz is a great place to have a show. Typically the weather is awesome (for us northerners) at 70 degrees and sunny. Although every once in a while there is rain. The show used to be on Sunday and they moved but 10 years ago nasty weather was predicated for show day so the moved it up a day to Saturday which wiped out the big cars and coffee show. Now they swapped the days and Saturday is the concours and Sunday is the cars and coffee and rain date for the concours.

@Duesy that car looks great from the back. Bohman and Schwartz hit it out of the park on this one.

Bob, 464 is one of B&S best efforts. Full length hood, windshield chop, fully skirted fenders work with the 17" wheels. Result is great. Not always true with B&S.

Wait, do you actually have a Pacer? If so, we can probably safely assume that it’s the finest bright red Pacer on the planet.

I have a red Pacer with 900 miles. It is a nutty car but would probably be better if it was not so original.

Thanks for the kudos. I have no idea if this car can be competitive at Amelia but I will have my fingers crossed. It was 72 and sunny in Houston today and I drove her about 5 miles. It was about four thumbs up from passersby per mile. I had one group that came out of their car at a stop light to take selfies next to the car. Lot of fun.
