Interesting cars at the RM Sotheby's auction in Hershey Pennsylvania held from Oct 10-11th. This 1930 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Continental Weymann Fixed Head Coupe by H.J. Mulliner had fantastic styling. An older restoration with some wood and door fit issues the estimate was $200,000 - $250,000 USD and final sale price with commission was 159,500. The price was clearly held back by the condition. As a continental model, it is the shorter 144" wheel base (as opposed to standard 150") with the optional hood louvers extended in to the cowl.. This was a cool feature as gave the appearance of a longer hood. The open fenders are rare and very sporty. A sorted RR is indestructible, but one that needs refreshing can be a daunting task.
