Doble VALVES

Valve events and valve timing have always been a compromise and the Model E, D-C-8 variant was nor difference, because the expansion links rock there is some slippage in the link during the valve travel,,, check this drawing out and see that the LH  and right hand piston valves have different dimensions!!! the last photo shows our new castings through the first machining opp

Chris,  all Doble models were piston valves, correct?

Not all but most. The early E engine had a slide valve

The problem is that there are so many different versions of the same part!!!!! Hours and hours of time trying to workout what goes with what
