Hidden Porsche collection

Dr. Karl Hens of Thoroughbred Motorsports has a remarkable collection of rare Porsches, along with an impressive stash of parts and other automotive treasures. If you’re a Porsche fan, this one is definitely worth a watch.

Some of the collection is headed to auction through Broad Arrow and Hagerty Marketplace this October.

At Pebble Beach last month a gentleman came up with his wife to chat with me about my car.  He was a Porsche collector and if I remember correctly he only collected a single year or a couple of years in the early 90s of 911s.   He had at least 20 of them.   They were each a different color but all were a version of the 911.

He probably likes the last of the 964 generation 911’s. 1993, perhaps?

Travis,  maybe.  It was one year only and he had paid 7 figures for some of the cars.  A little out of my wheelhouse but an interesting guy.
