1930 Pierce Arrow New York City Factory Custom Album.

These books basically do not exist anymore. They are the holy grail of collecting literature from the 1930's. This is a singular example I was able to purchase. There are dozens of cars with information posted in it. I have many similar items for Cadillac from the 30's as well. Enjoy! Ed.

Wow!

What a gem! Where did you acquire this?

Reputation of 50 years of collecting only the best stuff, it finds you.

Beautiful piece. Leather binding? Is that for 1931?

@Edinmass can confirm but the A,B,C chassis designation was 1930.

Thanks A.J.! I saw the 385CU and thought 31. Looks like Pierce introduced it in 1930.

This car doesn't exist anymore.

@alsancle what would you call this body style? Not a towncar?

· Sep 19

Maybe a Landaulet.

· Sep 19

Everybody used different words. @Edinmass needs to tell us what Pierce used. But @JohnBloom is probably correct. Landaulet-Towncar is what I would go with.

I’ve seen photos of a Pierce Arrow Landaulet that a collector in Texas was trying to sell a few years ago. My memory was that it was a few years earlier (1926?) than this model in the photograph.

Car in Texas was recently donated to the Pierce Arrow Foundation Museum, along with his 100 percent original 1910 Pierce 4 motorcycle.

1915. Have not see a photo of one from the 20s.

What a car. My guess is that my memory is wrong and the car was actually much earlier. The more I think about it in my mind, it did have earlier characteristics.

A dramatic design. I wonder how often they exposed the rear passengers.
