There should be a 25 year or 30 year rolling exemption. There are so few of those cars and it is so hard and onerous to take parts. Also, the few that exist are not being driven 20k miles a year.

It's odd it rolls for a few years and then stops....I know any year is arbitrary but I wonder if it would make sense to run it forward until 1996 with the adoption of OBDII....
@prewarnut the signed version is watered down and is very different from the original. The original proposed law had a rolling year and was much more reasonable. But I guess anything is better than nothing.
I agree. If not a 25 year exemption, the OBDII introduction would be a logical cutoff. What they ended up with seems like much ado about nothing.
I guess this is better than nothing?
