Does the ZX turbo still use the flapper-style air flow meter? Seems like it would be a problematic setup. That style of meter was enough of a problem on NA engines.

The N/A cars had a Japanese version of the Bosch L-Jetronic system. Toyota used it too. I'm pretty sure the turbo cars used it as well but I'm not sure how they handled boost enrichment.
I've played with the Toyota systems a fair bit but never worked on the Nissan version.

I thought it would have been Bosch. I dealt with the air flow meter system on my 635csi. It worked okay but was an imperfect system for sure. Especially after they got to be 25 or so years old.
