1993 Jaguar XJ220

One of my favorite supercars!! One of the coolest facts about the XJ220 is that it was originally designed with a V12 and four wheel drive, but the production car ended up with a 3.5 liter twin turbocharged V6 and rear wheel drive.

Despite the downgrade, the V6 made the XJ220 even lighter and extremely fast. Jaguar officially claimed 212 mph, making it the fastest production car in the world at the time. Fun fact: The XJ220 name refers to the original design goal of a 220 mph top speed. It never quite reached that number in production form, but it came remarkably close.

I know its 500 plus HP but the V6 just sounds disappointing. However, nobody agrees with me because they bring very strong money. 400k plus.

I saw one of these at a cruise night maybe 10 years ago. Didn't know it was a Jag until I talked to the guy. It was interesting as far as supercars go but not something I knew much about. It stood out at the cruise night which was why I wandered over to the owner.

I had one of these! It was made by Matchbox. I distinctly remember that it was silver.
