1933 Raleigh LDV

It's home and unloaded. There's six bins of parts with it and multiples of nearly everything.
Now, what do I do with it?
Should I pass it one to someone else?
Put it back together and use it?
Restoration would be uneconomical.
I think sympathetic reassembly would be the way to go. Put it together and make it nice but not too nice.
Maybe a good shop project to generate some business. Put my logo on the side.
I like the idea of a truck with stake sides. #sgmechanicalservice #prewarcar #ifixstuffyoucant #raleighldv

Shawn, that is neat but do you love it? Only work on your on projects that you love.

I need to ruminate...

That steering wheel is a great feature. Do you have any of the body?

I have the sheet metal coverings for all the mechanical bits but no body.

I was today years old when I saw my first motorcycle with a steering wheel.

How hard would it be to make it run? If you got it running and tried it that might help give you some perspective on what to do. Also, help you if you want to sell it.

It runs (so I'm told).
The engine and gearbox were rebuilt by a reputable motorcycle guru and Rolls Royce mechanic.

Hard to believe they eventually turned into these:

😂 One of motoring television’s funniest bits.

I’m trying to picture what that would look like as a light delivery pickup with your logo and Gulf colors on it. It would be a one of one, that’s for sure. Cool project.

Cool project. I vote for keeping it long enough to show us a video of driving around your yard.

I like this idea. Would love to see a video of it driving around.

Lol, we're a little far from that at the moment.
