Nick Mason (drummer and founding member of Pink Floyd) and his Ferrari 250 GTO
I love rock and roll and Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands. I didn't know that Nick Mason was a car guy! A real legend driving a legendary car.

I’m a huge Floyd fan. All of my album purchases combined might have financed one lug nut on that car. But as awesome as the 250 GTO is, I might still prefer Brian Johnson’s Bentley.

When I was a kid Dark Side of the Moon was the biggest selling Album of all time. Glad to see Nick is a car guy.

I'm a Pink Floyd fan (not to the level of Led Zeppelin though) and my son and I went to see Brit Floyd do the Division Bell tour. Unfortunately I realized I was not a fan of that album. A lot of rock starts are car guys. Sammy Hagar comes to mind also but there are others. We just did a topic on the dude with the Lamborgini.

The 60’s and 70’s rock scene was huge to me and the friends I had in those early formative years. Among the giants of that era, Pink Floyd was different. Young Lust with a powerful rhythm (and the call added to the end that keeps getting dropped). Money, with the intro of the cash machine. Money is done in a strange time signature (7/4 time). My favorite “wish you were here” picking up the sounds that fingers make sliding to the next chord . Their approach to music did not fit the mold of other traditional rock giants who were cranking out great music.
The AI music being generated and gobbled up as real thoroughly disgusts me.
Glad to hear Nick Mason is a car guy. After watching all the beautiful cars at Pebble Beach this weekend, I am struck by how I view cars and money. I’ll be content to grab something utilitarian to move me around that is cheap and from my perspective disposable. If I spend any substantial amount of money on a car, it is likely to be at least 60 years old.

Now that I think of it, Nick Mason’s percussion work in the intro of “Time” is what first caught my attention when I was a kid. Then the first time I listened to Dark Side of the Moon from beginning to end, I was hooked.
