These two replica motorcycles were on display at a local car show today. Impressive craftsmanship. The power plant in the Daimler was not of original style but there was a display model of what the original would have looked like. The Roper seemed like it would have been more frightening to ride. Something about having a scalding hot boiler under the seat seems ill-advised.
Our local motorcycle museum has a replica Daimler and my friend built a replica Roper for a customer.

Me too. And then I want to see how you get on it without getting burned. I’m going to guess: VERY carefully.
Steam motorcycles are cool. I think they probably have huge range limitations because they can't carry enough fuel or water, especially water, but they are still cool.
