First read about the Dymaxion in AQ 50 years ago as a kid. Definitely qualifies for this list.

My choice would be the Amphicar because it is so ugly and @TomLaferriere can't stop talking about buying one. I personally hate them.
I didn't not see the Tucker on there which also should qualify.

No. I do not like amphicars. Take a crappy car, mate with a crappy boat and you get an Amphicar.

I'd like to submit: 1979 Corvette America. Six were built for GM by a California coachbuilder as a market test for a 4 door Corvette. The idea was apparently serious enough to build six of them. Only about two are believed to survive today.

Not really a production car but the Sir Vival safety car concept was certainly weird.

It’s in the Lane Motor Museum. They had it on display at Lime Rock several years back.
