Today I learned Lamborghini once built V12s specifically for offshore boat racing. 😳
8.1 liters, 880 hp, 6,650 rpm. And two of them in the same boat!! Apparently they sounded more like a Formula 1 car than a boat.
Lamborghini powered boats ended up winning 12 Class 1 World Championships. Pretty wild piece of Lamborghini history I’d never heard about.

I recall that Ferrucio had a pair of Lamborghini V12s installed in his own Riva Aquarama when he felt the Chevrolet engines weren't up to his standards.
Most wooden boats are worthless. Ask me how I know. But not an Aquarama. I can't imagine what this one with the Lamborghini engines would go for.
I'm so glad I don't like boats.
