BMW Guy's Honest Reaction To Porsche Taycan Drive

Great video. I've been contemplating getting a used Taycan and this video convinced me that I need one. Love the styling. I was concerned about the driving dynamics. Also, in terms of the used market, seems like the Taycan is a good value. Also kind of interesting that there are two gears. Seems like smart engineering. I'm wondering if other EVs will follow this.

Please buy one so we can compare it to Tesla. The usual complaints are that the software is never up to snuff with the non pure EV makers. Styling is great however.

I'm interested too. The complaints that I have heard center on software glitches and god help you if it has to go in for paid service.

I'm a dummy. Did not realize we were talking about an electric car.

That was me too.

I don’t know. To each their own, but to me, an electric Porsche sounds a bit like going to a brothel for a hug.

The problem for all of the supercar makers is that an electric car can beat almost every one of them. Takes the fun out of thinking your are going fast making a lot of noise when some EV goes by you. I thought about that Sunday night in Boston going through a tunnel a guy in a 911 was absolutely goosing the thing, but a Model S Tesla would just slip right by quietly.

It's got too many doors too.

I used to feel that way and then I got kids. Which I guess re-enforces your point.
