I’ve been down that road. I’m in recovery now. I have too many Lego cars collecting dust. Austin Mini, Caterham 620, James Bond Aston DB5, Land Rover Defender, Lamborghini, Back to the Future Delorean…..

I was a "monogram" man as a kid. Did most of the wacky show rods. Last I saw them they were in a box in my mom's attic.

I grew up in the country, about 5 miles north of the small (15,000 people) blue collar, factory, farming town in Indiana. I don’t think we had cable out that far in the country till I was almost headed to college.
Before age 16, and the freedom of driving, I spent quite a few evenings at the kitchen table after dinner building a model car. Those are strong memories from my youth. There’s an Ace Hardware in our town now that has an entire aisle, that still sells model cars. It doesn’t matter what I go there for, I always drift down that aisle and scan the different models on the shelf and I’m a kid again.

John, you might have just stumbled on the common thread that has brought all of the crazy car people together: Tester’s model glue. A fairly compelling class action case could be made that we all suffered some degree of brain damage from exposure to the fumes at an early age. 🤔
