Ouch. Ford is recalling more than half a million Broncos because a wiring harness in the engine compartment can short circuit and increase the risk of fire.

They had that same problem with engine fires back in the late '80s/ early '90s. You'd think they'd have that stuff figured out by now.
The problem is with the engine compartment wiring harness, which can rub against nearby components until the insulation wears through. Supposedly this affects 1% of the Broncos which is actually quite a few.
My wife likes the looks of them (chick car?) but I won't let her get one because it reminds me too much of Jeep which is the least reliable thing you can buy.
Funny. My wife likes them too. I like the 1970s version and they are quite popular these days. Cheap version of a Land Cruiser or Range Rover. Very cheap version.
