Indiana Region of CCCA hosts Grand Classic

French Lick Indiana is hosting the Tri-Region Indiana/Michigan/Ohio CCCA Grand Classic this weekend. If you haven't been there, try to find a way to fit it into your travels. We had some postings earlier about the West Baden resort in French Lick. A stunning destination place. Old Car lovers seem to gravitate to the facilities and region. The Ford Model A Restorers Club was there last week and it looked like a great time as well.

What building is that hosted in? Is there a separate huge exhibition hall or is this part of the main hotel?

I have friends there sharing photos and videos as well. There is some great stuff from the midwest at the event. the cars are in a very nice facility, secure with Climate control, the French Lick Springs Hotel’s exhibition hall.

That RR conv coupe (is that what RR call it?) and that V16 Cadillac coupe are just bossy and stunning in their menacing Black. We had planned to be there but are packing up for a move. I hope some of the Rumbleseat crowd is there and shares more pics.

Each coachbuilder used their own words to describe different body styles. I'll go with convertible coupe too.

I know New Englanders love some good fall colors. Consider the West Baden and surrounding state parks for a fall getaway. Book a room early and pop for an interior room for the atrium view.

I know the Hupmobile and Marmon clubs had a joint tour out of French Lick last year but I’m not sure what hotel hosted it. The West Baden looks incredible.

It really is fantastic. I’m a huge lover of older hotels with history and stories and character. The Drake, the Pfister, the Peabody, etc. places built with money at least 100 years ago…… West Baden is different. They were going for something completely different than a “rich turn of the century urban Hotel “as a big city destination.
