Robert Bidner contemporary artist

Can somebody help me identify this model of Mercedes? It’s a piece done by an artist Robert Bidner. He passed in 1984, I’ve been interested in him. I’ve never seen this one before and just stumbled upon it. Who can educate me about the car? AJ?

540K Innelenker or 2 door sedan. 1936-39.

Note this car has 500K bumpers while the drawing shows the standard 540K bumpers.

Thanks!!! I was guessing 540, but I don’t know “Mercedes “.

He did many different subjects but I think he was most known for the Automobile works.

I bought this, 3-4 years ago

And just picked this up yesterday. Both of mine are Chromographs.

He did a very cool Rolls-Royce piece that I’d love to have

John, my dad had an oil painting of his 540K done 35 years ago. That will probably be my one piece of artwork. Have a buddy who has collected original pen & ink coachbuilder drawings. They are framed hanging in his office and very cool. But I think most people would choke on the 1k a piece he pays for them.

You have to keep the piece of your dad’s 540!

I like larger pieces. I hope to thoughtfully introduce some items like that in whatever new storage facility I end up with. I’ve questioned and done a little bit of research on reproducing on large canvas old Advertising and literature. I’m looking for more than just a storage facility. I want a place where I can hang out alone and with other afflicted friends.

This is a picture of a small one, but @TomLaferriere has covered the walls of building with larger billboard prints. We are talking 10x30 in some cases. They are not a huge amount of money and completely transform the space.

Another piece by Bidner. I like it.....a working shot.....

A 1948? I don't know my continentals that well.

I’m not sure, I’d need to see the front end to figure out the year.

These Lincoln’s are an enigma. With a worn-out 12cyl, they are practically giving them away…..

The problem is simple. 290 cubic inches.
