1930 Rolls Royce Auto Show Display
Another incredible Brewster-bodied Rolls Royce. Does this streamliner survive?

Yes it does. I'm on the road but when I get home later today I'll give you all the details. AJS Series Phantom II.

Sorry to be slow Travis. You are looking at 248 AJS Phantom II with body by Brewster. The car still exists. According to deCampi it was built for the 31 New York Auto Show. I think there was still a salon in 31 (Nov/Dec 30) at the Commodore hotel and the salon is where it would be not the auto show. But I'm guessing.

Glad to hear it’s still around. That car is awesome.

The photo notes said it was at whatever show was at Grand Central Palace.

That would be the auto show not the salon. I need to look in to this a little bit more. I would have guessed the salon at the Commodore with was invitation only to rich people.
This car was 20k new when you could buy a starter mansion for 10k. General public could not afford the wheels, so I would expect it at the salon.
My favorite streamlined RR.

Probably everybody's favorite streamline RR. 1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe AKA the "Round Door Rolls".

Another cool one is this 34 PII with streamliner body from Park Ward. I first saw this in person 20 plus years ago when Gooding was selling it in Arizona.
I found this one on Facebook. Don't know anything about it.

Gurney Nutting bodied late Phantom II 1935 62SK. Fantastic car! Owner is in India and it was probably a Maharajah car.

There are not a lot of streamlined RR. Which I guess you would expect as a formal car usually driven by a chauffer. This is a figoni et falaschi Phantom II. Not totally streamlined but crazy cool. Believe it sold at one point for a couple million bucks.

Beautiful!
