1942 DeSoto convertible attracting service attendants.

Has to be a story behind this picture, are they promoting something?

That is a rare sighting. How many exist now? Not many.
Believe there are 2 or 3 "Fifth Avenue" option package convertibles now known.

I have never seen a photo of a 42 with the light doors open. Check out this thread on the AACA on the 42 Desoto from 15 years ago. Lots of good info.

Here is a closeup. They even had two touches of stainless framing the bulb inside the cover!

So my first love is the 41 Mopar 3 windows, but the 42 Desoto is a close second. I'm sure I asked this before but how many 3 windows still exist?
Saw one of these at a show 10 years ago. Never knew they existed. Just a one year only feature I guess.

The way they appear to have attracted girls you would think they wouldn't have been able to keep up with the demand for them!

Need that laughing emoji upvote!

It looks like they might have made a 3 window but I'm still looking or an actual picture.
This is a nice one in video!

That is cool but it needs to lose the rear fender skirts.
