Happy fourth of July from the Great White North.

Don't forget to leave milk and cookies out for Captain America.

We had a nice day and it started to cool off. The heat wave in New England has passed.

Was thinking about you and the other Benny 500 participants this past week - a lucky break to not have to deal with the heatwave for a long tour.

We are juggling life like the rest of you. I’m reminded of the line from that famous philosopher J Lennon “ life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans”

Our daughter got engaged Friday night and I spent Saturday loading up a 20 foot U-Haul and moving my son and daughter-in-law into their new home.

As busy as things are, I did manage to sneak in some time on rumbleseat and think about old cars and the friends that have them.

Congratulations!

Yes, congratulations! Lennon's comment is so spot on.

Congrats John!! Is your future son-in-law catching any car bugs from his new family?

Steve, as a matter of fact, he is smitten with the Mercedes SL models from the 70s and 80s. I took the liberty of sharing a photo of yours with him just to pour gasoline on the fire.

He needs to start somewhere. First a 450 SL , next a Gullwing, then a 540K, and finally the insane alyssum.

I’m going to send him your exact quote. He did get an SL book from me for Christmas. A guy can dream…….. I have been daydreaming wedding get away car…. Something prewar and large.

Looks like I was one day late in filming this.
