We had a nice day and it started to cool off. The heat wave in New England has passed.
Was thinking about you and the other Benny 500 participants this past week - a lucky break to not have to deal with the heatwave for a long tour.
We are juggling life like the rest of you. I’m reminded of the line from that famous philosopher J Lennon “ life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans”
Our daughter got engaged Friday night and I spent Saturday loading up a 20 foot U-Haul and moving my son and daughter-in-law into their new home.
As busy as things are, I did manage to sneak in some time on rumbleseat and think about old cars and the friends that have them.

Steve, as a matter of fact, he is smitten with the Mercedes SL models from the 70s and 80s. I took the liberty of sharing a photo of yours with him just to pour gasoline on the fire.
He needs to start somewhere. First a 450 SL , next a Gullwing, then a 540K, and finally the insane alyssum.
I’m going to send him your exact quote. He did get an SL book from me for Christmas. A guy can dream…….. I have been daydreaming wedding get away car…. Something prewar and large.
