Went on a trip to Regina (the city that rhymes with fun) today, stopped to buy some junk off of some old farmers.
Came home with gaskets, sediment bowls, a tire machine, brake riveter, a scope, jack and a '28 Model A Roadster that I have to go back for.
No pics of the A. It's buried in a barn. All there but not a straight panel on it. Motor is stuck. Might be a good hotrod project.

The heated part is 25 x 25.Whole building is 60 x 40.

Friend built a 10k square pole barn. Made the mistake of letting a couple of friends store stuff "short term". 15 years later that stuff has not moved and the barn is packed.
No such thing as "short term storage". There is an entire industry built on that.
There's only two sizes of shop: "Too small" and "Not big enough".
Sounds like the place I was shopping in. I need to spend half a day just digging the Model A out. The upside is, I will probably find more treasure.
How does that tire machine work? Is there a manufacturer plate on it?
It's a Coates Tireman Three Star. It's a manual tire machine. There's an upper and lower bead breaker and a big tire iron.
It's just going to be a fixture for holding wheels at a comfortable height and breaking beads. Currently I'm changing pre-war car tires on a moving blanket on my knees and I'm getting too old for that.
If you get around to trying it please get a video if you can. I love vintage equipment.
Interesting. We use a modern compressed air powered bead breaker but that is all the modern tire equipment is good for. Once the bead is broken it goes up on a table for full manual labor.
Does the tube light up on the dianostic machine?
It lights up but there's also a really bad "dying electronics" smell coming from it so I have a feeling that it's all done. I'll have to put it on a running engine and see if I can get a pattern to come up.
