This Rolls Royce Phantom I is one of the only cars I’ve ever seen with a windswept coupe body. This one is by Brewster. It’s fantastic. Why has this style not been done more? Anyone know if this car survives?

Brewster made the best bodies!!!

Yes, car has been in the same family in Texas for the last 50 years. The collection it is in has outstanding prewar cars of similar quality. Officially called the "Wind Blown Coupe".
It was at Pebble in 2018.

Picture I found on Facebook.

That wouldn’t be my first choice of color combination but that car pulls it off.

Travis, I think this car would look good in any color.

I never noticed before but although this is a Phantom I, it has the Phantom II Brewster hood scallops. Probably their first body with that feature.

Saw this in person 30 years ago. Just as beautiful in person as in photos.

Brewster built 90% of the American RR bodies. Known for great quality and style they were absorbed by RR sometime in the late 20s. @alsancle might know, but their car venture almost bankrupted them is what I remember.

I can't get to coachbuilt right now but I believe what you are saying is correct. They were carrying severe debt when RR of American bought them in the mid 20s which eventually took them out too.
Quality of construction was top of the American coachbuilders and style was right up there too.
