This is how White Truck Company of Cleveland Ohio shipped 15,000 trucks to WWI by ship. They were off loaded on the docks and assembled on the spot. Photo from the National Archives. Enjoy.....

Ed, Hi, not to hijack but I have collected all the govt. photos of Locomobile and Riker I can find on file. They did somewhat the same for Riker trucks. It's funny they documented this, maybe to show that taxpayer money was actually being used for what they said it was for.....😜 They also have photos of extra "parts" such as top bows, lanterns, consumables that were shipped in entirely enclosed wooden crates stuffed with maybe horsehair.
