I got a good deal on this Nibbler reciprocating machine (similar to a Pullmax) a couple months ago. I haven't had a way to move it into my shop because it weighs about 1200lbs and that's more than my tractor can lift.
I borrowed a neighbour's skid steer today and finally got it off my trailer.
This machine can be used to make profiles, cut metal, dish, shrink, stretch, make louvers, punch, all kinds of things, once I learn how to use it. It can handle up to 1/4" thick steel.
I have no idea if I will be able to put it to work but I can't stand to see old machinery scrapped. If I can't use it then I'll pass it on to someone who can.

A very usefull tool if you're into metal fabrication, but I didn't think you were. Am I wrong or are you going to give it a try?

I'm going to give it a try. I'm not a sheetmetal guy but I do some fabrication of brackets and things like that. If nothing else, it's a good shear and punch.
I'd rather use this than an abrasive cutoff tool. I hate the mess from those things.

If you've got the floor space, the longer you have it the more uses you are likely to find for it. General metal fab capabilities seem like they would fit well with the type of work you do. A long time ago I bought a duplicating mill to copy complex wood parts, which led to a 9" South Bend lathe to make tooling, because the only options were to make my own or pay someone to do it. A couple upgrades later I'm up to a WWII era 15" LeBlond, which is more than I need but I've found that it's easier to do small work on a big machine than to do big work on a small one. And it was too good a deal to pass up! On a whim I bought a Gorton vertical mill, another deal too good to pass up, that has turned into one of the most usefull and most used tools in the shop.

Very cool Shawn.  I've known Wray Schelin since I was a kid.   He and Fay Butler are the deans of fabrication here in the Northeast.   Wray has every crazy metal shaping machine you can think of including a bunch he has built on his own.

You will need to do a video demonstrating how it works.
