Thinking about hitting this same trail/route. This would certainly be a challenge. But what amazing scenery! If this video doesn't motivate you to hit the roads and adventure, I'm not sure what would. Also, this underscores the value of camaraderie and developing a crew that you can adventure with.
Pretty wild what's required to have a capable off-road vehicle to hit trails like this. Upgraded suspension, tires, onboard air, winch, recovery gear, and camp gear. Off-roading / overlanding is a very expensive pursuit. I'm looking at getting a roof top tent. I keep reading so many mixed perspectives on them. Super convenient but adds a lot of weight and messes with the driving dynamics, and of course screws with your fuel efficiency. It seems like a dream to be able to deploy a tent in one to two minutes. Plus being off the ground. But having to get up at night and negotiate with a ladder to take a leak seems like a pain in the ass.
