Holy sweet merciful crap, when did core Model T Ford carburetors become gold?
Went looking for a decent, used Holley NH to rebuild for a customer's car. How is a beaten up core, missing parts worth $200 Canuckistan pesos on eBay?
I need to hit some more swap meets.
Parts prices are complicated. I'm willing to bet that most guys sit on stuff for years before it gets given away by their kids. The accessories like the carb and dizzy and generator/starter usually can find homes, and everything else requires that one guy that needs the part. Shawn, can you post a link?
@alsancle This reminds me of Hershey were many of the vendors bring stuff back year after year to not sell. Mostly because of the crazy prices they put on stuff. Then one year they realize they might be back and there is a fire sale.
@mparadise I always amazed at the heavy stuff guys would bring back to Hershey year after year. Not as much as 20 years ago but guys still do it. Most of it looks like scrap to me.

I just used eBay for a quick look to see if anything was reasonably priced. I'm going to check with some local guys to see what they have, I'm sure something serviceable will turn up.
Ideally, I'm looking for a '26-'27 Holley NH like the one pictured but an earlier one will probably work too.
I guess I'm officially becoming an old curmudgeon. "I remember walking past buckets of those at swap meets for $20 each". I might just need to accept the new reality.

@ShawnG If you see a bunch and they are all priced high than that is the going rate. There are enough Model T's out there that parts should be easier to sell and find than other early cars. But sometimes you just run in to someone that wants to get rid stuff. But that requires patience.

Yup. 15 million of them if memory serves.
It's for a customer but I still want to make sure he's getting a reasonable price.
