The Sunset Motor Company operated several Cadillac and Hupmobile stores in Washington State during the early 20’s. Their main dealership was in Seattle. These photos are from around 1920. Unfortunately, I don’t have any showing Cadillacs in the showroom. Still an impressive looking dealership.

A couple shots of the showroom and a closeup of the very cool Hupmobile R service truck conversion.

@Hupp31 That service truck is crazy cool.

In the photo of the front of the building, that might be a Cadillac model 59 on the left. The car on the right is definitely a Hupmobile model R.

Looking closer at the nighttime photo, I believe the touring car on the right side of the showroom is a type 61 Cadillac because it has exterior door handles.

@Hupp31 You may be right.

@Rambler0155 It has the same horn and 10 spoke front wheels as this one. I see some of them have exterior handles and some don’t, not sure what’s up with that. Maybe the car inside the showroom is a type 59, as well.

The Hupmobile model R on the left is at least a 1921 with exterior door handles so the other car being a type 61 would make sense.

The car parked behind the service truck in the corner shot looks to be a type 59 four passenger Victoria.

@Hupp31 One of my favoreite body styles!!!!

@alsancle My favorite closed body style too.

The black Hupmobile model R touring in the interior showroom shot is a 1920 R-3. It must have been custom painted because I believe all factory vehicles were Hupmobile blue with a black hood at that time. Also, I’m quite certain that the factory paint on an affordable car wouldn’t have a shine like a grand piano.
