1908 Ford Model S.
Repaired the original Heinze key switch and replaced the missing key.
Greased the chassis and transmission.
These use a two-speed, epicyclic transmission similar to the Model T except that it doesn't share the oil system with the engine.
The transmission is open and every so often, you remove the plugs and pump some grease in.
The gears then sling the grease all over the undercarriage and the road.

Shawn, I've never been in front of a Model S. How does it differ from the T?

@alsancle A.J., I think the S is chain drive? That would be a big difference. Engines are about the same size. Intiial costs were around the same amount.

It uses a driveshaft and differential.
The engine is less refined, aluminum crankcase, iron cylinder block.
Flywheel is on the crank snout so they break cranks if you're rough on them.
Water pump is in the radiator and geared to the crank.
Open planetary transmission and novelty brakes.
This one has a set of Rocky Mountain brakes for a Model T that have been modified to fit by me.
